Lavrov Deplores Attempts to Distort Russia Position on Syria

MOSCOW,( ST)_ “ There are unclean attempts by  known countries to distort facts  so as to depict Russia’s position on the situation in Syria as contrary to reality,” said the Russian Foreign minister Sergey Lavrov on Sunday .

 “ It is necessary now to oblige  all parties to drop their arms and join the dialogue table instead of talking in vain about the  departure of the Syrian leadership,” the Russian FM said

He added that  the USA  obstructs   the meeting of the International Quartet Committee on the Middle East.
