Lavrov confirms Kerry the need to honor Syria Sovereignty in the war against Daesh

MOSCOW, (ST) _Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reiterated in a telephone talks with his American counterpart John Kerry yesterday the need to respect Syria’s sovereignty against Daesh terrorist organization.

A source at the Russian Foreign Ministry told Russia today, yesterday, that “Minister Lavrov stressed to his American counterpart the need to honor international conventions and international relations when the US forms the international coalition in addition to the military action.”

The source pointed out that Lavrov stressed the need to coordinate international moves to fight “Daesh” terrorist organization, apart from double standards.

However, Lavrov had stressed in a press conference that his country supports Syria and Iraq in their fight against terrorists, considering that every military should only be made after the consent of the State concerned.
