Lavrov calls for an immediate halt to the Israeli aggression against Gaza

The Russian Minister of the Foreign affairs Sergei Lavrov stressed the necessity of an immediate stop of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and to put pressure on the Israeli occupation entity to implement the UN resolution for establishing an independent Palestinian State.

Russia Today quoted Lavrov as saying after his talks in the Cuban capital Havana, with his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Eduardo Rodríguez Parrilla , that immediate and urgent steps should be taken to achieve ceasefire, deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip, and engage in the practical implementation of United Nations resolutions on the ceasefire and the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Lavrov pointed out that the United States continues to prevent any initiatives in the UN Security Council that calls for an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians, including children and women.

Yesterday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the number of victims of the ongoing occupation aggression against the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October had risen to 28,985 martyrs and 68,883 wounded, in addition to thousands of missing people.
