Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov declared on Thursday that many parties, including Europeans, fear the impacts of the so-called US “Caesar Act” on them if they economically cooperate with Syria.
In a response to a question about the unilateral coercive measures being imposed on the Syrian people, Lavrov told “the Great Game” program on Russia 1 TV: “Look at what is happening in Syria as a result of the “Caesar Act”, some Europeans tell me and whisper that they are afraid, this act has prevented any opportunity for them to somehow manage economic affairs with Syria’’.
Moreover, Lavrov asserted that the policy of pressure and sanctions chosen by the US administration towards Russia has no chances for success.
