Moscow (ST): Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed Moscow’s keenness to help Lebanon overcome the problems that have hampered its development in recent years.
During his meeting with the head of the Lebanese Marada movement, Suleiman Franjieh, in Moscow today, Lavrov said: We want to help our Lebanese friends in one way or another solve the problems they have faced in recent years, and help them develop their country and enhance its security.
Lavrov added: We believe that it is important in principle to preserve the principles on which the contemporary state in Lebanon is based, which we always call for its strengthening, especially during our work within the UN Security Council.
