Lattakia: New investment opportunities in extracted industries sector announced

Damascus (ST): The Syrian Investment  Establishment has announced the existence of new investment opportunities in the extracted industries sector in al-Basit area in Lattakia city to produce Feldspar material with a reserve estimated at 2.5 million tons. 

Director General of the Syrian Investment Establishment Madyan Diyab said in a statement that Feldspar material is used as a raw material in the manufacture of ceramic, pottery, porcelain and glass.

He added that the investment in extracting Feldspar would meet Syria’s needs, estimated at 75000 tons annually, and save hard currency noting that this investment opportunity will have all incentives and exemptions included in investment encouragement decree.
