Lattakia Governorate receives 6 “Maz” trucks from Belarus

LATTAKIA, Jun.26, (ST)- Today, the second batch of humanitarian aid, which includes 6 “MAZ” trucks provided by the Republic of Belarus, arrived in Latakia Governorate.

The Governor of Lattakia,  Amer Ismail Hilal, declared that this aid is the second of its kind and it comes within the framework of the strong relations between the two friendly countries in various fields.

He showed great appreciation for the continuous support of  the government and people of Belarus to the Syrian people, referring to the importance of strengthening bilateral relations for the common interest of the two friendly peoples and countries.

For his part, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in Damascus, Yuri Sluka, indicated that his country has historical friendship with Syria, and it continues to provide aid that contributes to the reconstruction of Syria.

He indicated that his country stood by Syria during the difficult times it went through and continued to provide humanitarian aid of various types represented in medicine, food and machinery.

Last November, Syria received a shipment of humanitarian aid provided by the Republic of Belarus, including medical preparations, electrical transformers and foodstuffs.
