Larijani Stresses Syrian people right to self-determination by democratic means

TEHRAN, (ST) _Head of the Iranian Shura Council Ali Larijani, renewed  his country  position on the Syrian people’s right to self-determination by democratic means, without external interference,  through he constitution and elections and not through arms.

In an interview with al-Mayadeen TV on Friday Larijani said  that countries involved in the war on Syria aimed at striking resistance movements challenging the US and Zionist schemes to dismantle the region and plunder its resources, pointing out that the US  does not want to find a solution to the crisis in Syria , rather works  to provide the opposition  with weapons and create crises to destabilize the region.

He regretted that  some countries that have nothing to do democracy , call for advocating democracy in Syria,  wondering how these countries which has no  election can claim its commitment to the Syrian people, noting that the Israeli aggression on Syria showed that the issue is not democracy but to weaken Syria’s support for resistance against  the Israeli entity.
