Larijani condemns Zionists attack on Syria

Speaker of Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) Ali Larijani has  condemned Zionist regime’s air raid on Syria in separate telephone conversations with his counterparts from Iraq, Lebanon and Algeria.

Talking to Speaker of Iraqi Council of Representatives Osama Al-nujaifi, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Mohammad Al-Arabi Ould Khalifa from Algeria, Larijani said Zionists air attack on Damascus on January 30 indicated the expansion of events made anti-Syria by a number of certain states, according to IRNA.

“The usurper regime should not be allowed to continue its aggressive measures against regional countries by taking advantage of the present situation in Syria,” Larijani said.

He reiterated that the issue of Palestine is still the first problem of the Islamic world, adding that regional states would continue support for oppressed Palestinians regardless of the current regional situation.

The Zionist regime fighters invaded Syrian air space on January 30 and attacked a research center in Rif province.

Meanwhile, Osama Nujaifi of Iraq told Larijani that all regional states have stayed unified in one line against the Zionist regime.

In related development, the Lebanese speaker told Larijani that what was currently underway in Syria was to undermine the resistance front against the occupying regime of Qods and aimed at serving the interests of the Zionist regime.

He stressed that the ongoing conspiracy against Syria was indeed a plot against the whole Islamic World.

Meanwhile, the Algerian parliament speaker told Larijani that the January 30 invasion of Syria was not the only case of the Zionists’ aggression against regional states including Syria and Lebanon.

Khalifa stressed that similar aggressive moves should be prevented in future through cooperation and consultation among Muslim states.

The Algerian parliamentarian added that preventing the Zionist regime from making similar moves in the future needed more acts than words.
