Large-scale security operation in the deserts of Nineveh, Anbar and Salahuddin in Iraq launched to eliminate terrorist remnants
The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Authority announced the launch of a large-scale security operation in the deserts of Nineveh, Anbar and Salahuddin to pursue the remnants of terrorists.
The Authority said in a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that a force from the army and the Popular Mobilization launched operations in the desert lands of “Nineveh, Anbar and Salahuddin”, with the support of the air force and army aviation to cleanse the desert from the remnants of terrorism, and impose security and stability in it.
The Iraqi Security Media Cell announced earlier today the destruction of a hideout for the terrorist organization “ISIS” within the operations area, east of Salahuddin city in central Iraq, confirming the elimination of the terrorists inside.
