MOSCOW- Algeria’s Foreign Minister Ramtan Lamamra has reiterated his country’s firm stance on the need to attain a political solution to the crisis in Syria and not to interfere in Syria’s internal affairs.
In a statement to the Russian media published on Tuesday, Lamamra said the Algerian and Russian stances are identical on Geneva2 conference. He pointed out that the two sides realize the danger of the terrorism spilled over from Syria to the entire region, because “terrorism knows no borders.”
In a press conference he held with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on February 10th, Lamamra said that Russia and Algeria have a common stance on rejecting foreign intervention in Syria. He also stressed that the two counties can contribute to finding a peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria.
