Beirut, (ST) – Former Lebanese MP Emile Lahoud affirmed that the commemoration of the 17th anniversary of the July aggression by the Israeli enemy in 2006 has a special position for the Lebanese, as the steadfastness of the resistance fighters and Syria’s embrace of the resistance shattered the arrogance and image of this enemy.
Lahoud said in a statement to SANA’s reporter: Everything that happened during this aggression increased the bond between the resistance and its people, and therefore we must remember the heroism and how the victory happened to educate future generations inside Lebanon about this event.
Lahoud pointed out that no matter how difficult the living and economic conditions are and the intense pressures that aim at subduing us, whether in Lebanon or Syria, the axis of resistance and resistance men will not submit or surrender to the enemy’s threats and attacks.
