Lahham: Syria is a Country of Democratic Experience

DAMASCUS,(ST)_  Parliament Speaker Mohammad Jihad al-Lahham  stressed that Syria ‘s  people , army and leadership will remain solid  and powerful  to address of the plot it has been experiencing  more than two and a half years , noting Syria ‘s democratic experiment  and being  a model of coexistence among all its citizens .

During a meeting yesterday  with a delegation representing Yemeni party and trade union activists, the Parliament speaker  added that steadfastness of the Arab national trend and reiterating  unity among the Arab people is the base for  true Arab relations that contribute to creating a suitable environment for investment  of Arab wealth  to serve Arab noble  national issues  .

He indicated  that Syria is subjected to a major misleading  media campaign that tried to distort reality on the ground in order to destabilize its security , destroying  the  infrastructure and implanting sedition among its people,  noting  the sabotage role by some neighboring countries by facilitating the flow of terrorists who exercised their brutality  in destroying and  desecration of Islamic and Christian sanctities and looting  the country ‘s resources.

 He continued that  the International law views  the one who used weapons against the  state as a criminal, that should be faced by the force of  the law to protect people from those killers and bring them to justice.

In turn, members of the Yemeni delegation stressed that Syria ‘s steadfastness in the face of Western colonial schemes implemented by some Arab states and local elements  is but a  ” the steadfastness of the Arab nation ” , pointing out that Syria is the last castles of  steadfastness and defiance in the face of hostile schemes against the Arab nation . 

Al-Ahmar : Solving  the crisis will be only Syrian, without foreign intervention

For his part,  Assistant Secretary – General of the Baath Arab Socialist Party Abdullah al – Ahmar  stressed that the solution to the crisis in Syria , ” will be merely Syrian  away from foreign  dictates and interference in the internal affairs .”

During his  meeting yesterday with  the Yemeni delegation  al-Ahmar added that Syria has agreed to all the initiatives calling for resolving the crisis by political means and comprehensive national dialogue that serves  the interest of the Syrians and their security and stability .,

Al-Ahmar said  that Syria will not compromise her national  principles and resistance line , regardless  to intensified pressures and varied plots and will remain a powerful state , thanks to its  power of deterrence ,the valor of its army and the steadfastness of its people and strong economy against  any threats , noting the efforts and activities undertaken by the Arab masses and their national progressive forces in  support of Syria.

Head of the  visiting delegation Yahya Mohammed Abdullah Saleh,  who is also head of the ” one Arab nation ” organization  noted the  broad  events carried out by the organization in solidarity with the Syrian Arab Army in repelling  the foreign  aggression and terrorists who came from more than 80 countries .

Saleh  called  for uniting the efforts of political parties and civil society organizations and the formation of a  coordination committee among nationalist  Arab states and parties to increase awareness of the Arab world to confront the aggression and Western schemes  targeting Syria and the Arab nation.

Members of the delegation expressed  high appreciation for the Syrian Arab Army in pursuit of terrorists , stressing support of Arab masses and nationalist and progressive forces along with Syria to  defend  its  independence, sovereignty , the Arab nation and all free peoples .
