Labor Minister: Finding Solutions to Private Industrial Sector’s Problems

DAMASCUS, (ST) – Minister of Labor, Dr. Khalaf Al-Abdullah Suleiman stressed the importance of creating the conditions to stimulate the private sector and facilitate its involvement again in the Syrian economic life cycle, indicating that the ministry is working to solve all the problems and difficulties that hinder the work of the public and private industrial sectors for the advancement of the national economy.

Dr. Al-Abdullah during a meeting with the President of the Council of the Damascus Chamber of Industry Samer al -Debs and Chairman of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce Mohamed Ghassan al Qalla’ discussed some issues concerning the exemption of industrial plants suspended from work as a result of falling into the hot areas of the insurance premium, expressing his ministry’s keenness on the rights of workers and industrialists.

The two sides pointed out the importance of the formation of a joint committee with representatives from the Ministry of Labor, the Damascus Chamber of Industry, Damascus Chamber of Commerce and the Association for Consumer Protection in order to facilitate the work of industrialists and come to a quick and successful solutions to the obstacles to their work for the benefit of the public interest and the national economy.
