Kuwait Welcomes U.S. Decision to Lift Sanctions on Syria

In an official statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its welcome of U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement to lift sanctions on the Syrian Arab Republic during his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

The statement praised the significant efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this matter and emphasized that this step will contribute to supporting stability, prosperity, and development in the brotherly nation of Syria.

 

Kuwait reaffirmed its support for the Syrian Arab Republic, its people, and all efforts aimed at preserving Syria’s sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity.
