Kuwait, Qatar and the GCC have welcomed Syrian National Dialogue Conference.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the convening of the Syrian National Dialogue Conference, stressing that it is an important step to support stability.
The ministry expressed its hope that the conference will contribute to achieving the aspirations of the Syrian people towards security and peace.
Kuwait affirmed its position in support of Syria’s unity, independence and territorial integrity.

Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi welcomed the convening of the Syrian National Dialogue Conference, considering it a serious and valuable step towards contributing to the aspirations of the brotherly Syrian people for security, stability, and prosperity.
According to a statement from the GCC General Secretariat, the Secretary-General expressed his hope that the conference would help outline a comprehensive political solution that includes all segments of the Syrian people, based on the rule of law and equal citizenship, while preserving Syria’s unity and sovereignty.
The Secretary-General also praised what was stated in the conference’s final statement, which expressed the sincere desire of the participants to reach comprehensive political solutions, emphasizing the importance of continuing such dialogues to enhance national consensus among Syrians.
He reaffirmed the positions of the GCC as stated in the communiqué issued by the extraordinary 46th meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council, which stressed respect for Syria’s sovereignty and independence, support for a comprehensive political transition that meets the aspirations of the Syrian people, and the emphasis on national reconciliation as a cornerstone for rebuilding and stabilizing the state.

Moreover, Qatar welcomed the convening of the Syrian National Dialogue Conference, considering it an important step towards consensus, unity, and the establishment of a state governed by law and institutions.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized in a statement on its official account on (X) that the decision is for the Syrians to shape the future of their country.
The ministry highlighted the importance of the restricting weapons to the state and building a professional national army to strengthen civil peace, security, and stability.
The ministry reiterated Qatar’s full support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and for the aspirations of the Syrian in freedom, development and prosperity.
