A letter for Russian President Vladimir Putin from U.S. President Donald Trump has been delivered to the Russian side through diplomatic channels, but the Kremlin has not familiarized itself with the letter as of yet, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Wednesday.
“Yes, indeed the letter was received through diplomatic channels. We expect that the president’s administration will receive it shortly,” Peskov said.
“I was honored to deliver a letter from President Trump to President Vladimir Putin’s administration,” Paul wrote. “The letter emphasized the importance of further engagement in various areas including countering terrorism, enhancing legislative dialogue and resuming cultural exchanges,” he tweeted.
