MOSCOW, (ST)- The Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that all terrorist attacks on Syrian army positions and Russian military facilities in Idleb should stop, urging the Turkish regime to assume its responsibility regarding the de-escalation zone in Idleb pursuant to the Sochi agreement.
In a statement to journalists in Moscow on Tuesday, Peskov said that these attacks by terrorist groups in Idleb are unacceptable and they should not be allowed to continue.
He added that the terrorist groups in Idleb have for long felt completely free and they have been carrying out attacks against civilians and Russian facilities.
“At the moment, we consider the most important thing is the implementation of agreements (between Russia and Turkey) and of course the suppression of any terrorist activity directed against the Syrian armed forces and Russian military facilities,” Peskov said.
“We consider such sorties from Idlib unacceptable,” he said.
