Kreishati, Ebye discuss efforts to secure return of displaced, al Yarmouk Camp

Damascus – Governor of Damascus, Muhammad Tariq Kreishati, discussed with the Director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Syria, Amanya Michael Ebye, means of enhancing cooperation to secure the return of the displaced to their homes in al-Yarmouk camp, along with infrastructure rehabilitation projects that can be implemented in the next phase.

Kreishati stressed that the province continues to provide all facilitations for the people’s return to the camp within the conditions of the structural integrity and the required approvals, and in accordance with the regulations and laws and providing all necessary support for the agency’s humanitarian work in Damascus.

Ebye, in turn, expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the Syrian government to rehabilitate the infrastructure in the camp, indicating that the agency’s priority is to work on rehabilitating its facilities there such as the school and social and health affairs centers to put them into service as soon as possible.
