Kosovo’s president describes her meeting with President Sharaa as “wonderful” and calls for greater rapprochement

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani described her meeting with President Ahmed al-Sharaa last Friday as

“wonderful” and called for greater rapprochement between her countryand Syria.
In an interview with
Kosovo’s RTV21 channel, Osmani said the meeting with President al-Sharaa was”wonderful.”
She noted that her
country had never sought to establish diplomatic relations with the former regime, adding, “Now, we hope to strengthen our relations with the
institutions of a free Syria.”
The president Osmani reviewed the violations that Syrians have been subjected to over the past years.
“The Syrian people have suffered for a
very long time, and genocide and horrific war crimes have been committed against them. Even chemical weapons have been used against children by the
Assad regime.” She said .
Last Friday,  President Sharaa met with Kosovo President Osmanion the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in southern Turkey.
