Kosachev: Washington allocated $1.5 billion for biological projects in Ukraine

After the scandal of the US Biolabs in Ukraine, the deputy chairman of the Russian Federation Council, Konstantin Kosachev reveals that more than $1.5 billion has been allocated for the implementation of biological projects in Ukraine over the past 10 years.
 
More than $1.5 billion have been funded for international projects on biolaboratories in Ukraine, involving the United States over the past decade, the deputy speaker of the deputy chairman of the Federation Counci, Konstantin Kosachev, told Sputnik.
 
The lawmaker explained that Moscow obtained material that reveal the development of components for biological weapons carried out in Ukrainian Biolabs near the Russian territory on a top-secret basis. 
 
“According to the data provided by our foreign ministry, the Americans participated in these projects, including experts on biological weapons, as well as individuals with diplomatic immunity,” Kosachev said.
 
He added that the Biolabs funding was delivered within the Pentagon–initiated project on biological threat reduction program through 2024, and also via the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine.
