Konečná: US military presence in Syria is illegitimate and plays a destructive role
PRAGUE, Feb.9, (ST)-The leader of the Czech Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM ) and Member of the European Parliament Kateřina Konečná has stressed that the US military presence in Syria is illegitimate and plays a destructive role.
“This presence contributes to destabilizing Syria and sabotaging efforts aimed at resolving the crisis in it,” Konečná said in an interview with the Czech TV on Wednesday.
She noted that the presence of US forces in many countries have the same goals of sabotage and spreading destruction.
Konečná believes that the escalation by Washington with regard to the situation in Ukraine will not lead to any positive result.
She affirmed her party’s rejection of her country’s participation in increasing this escalation in any way.
