As part of the implementation of the third phase of rehabilitating homes affected by the February 6 earthquake in the Azaz area of Aleppo countryside, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has signed a cooperation agreement, via video conference, with a civil society organization.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), “The agreement aims to rehabilitate 715 homes for families whose houses were slightly or moderately damaged by the earthquake, and to prepare 55 temporary housing units for the most affected families who have become homeless.”

The agreement also aims to provide the homes and temporary housing units with basic necessities, such as electricity through solar panels, installation of modern water tanks, and ensuring proper ventilation. The project will benefit 4,587 people.

According to the agency, this project continues from previous phases, during which 1,203 homes that were slightly or moderately damaged were rehabilitated in the first and second phases.

Additionally, 39 prefabricated temporary housing units equipped with basic necessities were provided for families whose homes were severely damaged and became homeless. The project has directly benefited 10,000 individuals in its first and second phases.
