Kim Yong-nam Hails Syria’s Achievements in the Fight against Terrorism

PYONGYANG, (ST)- Kim Yong-nam, President of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), has stressed that any success Syria achieves in the fight against terrorism is a success for the DPRK, affirming that Syria, under the leadership of President Bashar Al-Assad, will triumph over imperialist forces and their tools.

Kim Young-nam made the remarks during his meeting on Wednesday with a delegation representing Syria’s Baath Vanguards Organization (BVO) led by head of the Organization Izzat Arabi Katebi.

 The Korean official, who hailed the historical relations between Syria and the DPRK, asserted that the people of the Democratic Korea support the Syrian people in defense of their country’s sovereignty.

On his part, Arabi Katebi affirmed the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries who are facing a common enemy. He expressed hope that cooperation between the BVO and its counterpart in Democratic Korea will be enhanced.
