Kilicdaroglu refutes Erdogan’s claims that no businesses are closed in Turkey

Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the leader of Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) expressed his astonishment towards the remarks made by the Turkish President Recep Tayyib Edogan in which he claimed that no merchants are closing their businesses in Turkey.

In a statement, Kilicdaroglu said citing official media reports on the performance of Turkish traders and craftsmen that “at least 99,588 merchants closed their projects in 2020, which means that 273 traders go bankrupt every day.”

He wondered how Erdogan can say that no businesses are closed in Turkey in the light of these data.

“A person like him cannot lead the state…a person who does not know the concerns of his people cannot lead them,” Kilicdaroglu pointed out.
