Kickboxing player Sarah Zalat was able to record a distinguished presence in this game, through the remarkable results she achieved during her sports career so far, both locally and abroad.
Zalat, 19 years old, said in a statement to SANA that her love for this sport, which started six years ago, did not infringe on her studies in the pharmacy department, but rather was a motivation to excel in the academic field.
Zalat added: My training has been supervised since I started playing this game by coach Mohamed Najm, with unlimited encouragement from my father. I used to follow my training on a daily basis without interruption, and I spared no effort in developing my skills by taking advantage of all the sports advice provided to me by the game’s experts and cadres.
Zalat continued: I achieved first places locally in all age groups. I also won a professional championship and won first place in the National Olympics. I took part in the Arab Championship competitions this year, which took place in the Iraqi city of Sulaymaniyah, during which I won the gold medal with full contact style.
Zalat concluded: The sport of kickboxing is inherent in my life, and I continue my training in a scientific and thoughtful manner. The ambition to do well in foreign tournaments remains one of the priorities to raise my country’s flag high in international and continental forums.
