Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh announced that Iran’s accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization indicates the end and failure of pressures aimed at imposing isolation on it at the international level.
Khatibzadeh said in his weekly press conference today that the US administration must prove its credibility regarding the nuclear agreement and abide by its terms and implement it fully, stressing that it is the main reason for its obstruction.
Khatibzadeh pointed out that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian will travel tomorrow to New York to participate in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly. He will meet on the sidelines of the meetings with 45 political figures, especially the foreign ministers of the 4 + 1 countries concerned with the nuclear agreement with Iran. Khatibzadeh indicated that the minister does not plan to meet with American officials.
