Khartoum and Moscow discuss the use of national currencies with mutual trade

On March 12th, the Sudanese Ambassador to Moscow, Muhammad Al-Ghazali Al-Tijani Siraj, announced that the Central Banks of Sudan and Russia are discussing the use of national currencies in mutual transactions and settlements.

“Russia has proposed to Sudan the use of a system of financial transactions in which we adopt national currencies,” Novosti news agency quoted Siraj as saying.

He said that the Sudanese and Russian central banks are discussing the implementation of this matter, and how this system works.
