Hama, (ST) – With the participation of about 50 companies representing various Syrian governorates, the activities of the “Al-Khairat 4” festival was recently launched in Khan Rustum Pasha in Hama.
In a statement to SANA, Dr. Muhammad Al-Jabali, head of the Syrian Economic Group, explained that the festival aims to intervene positively for the benefit of consumers by reducing the prices of goods and products they are in need for their daily life.
Dr. Nisreen Nahhas, one of the festival’s organizers, indicated that products are brought from factories and companies directly without intermediaries and sold without any profit in order to achieve the hoped for positive intervention.
She pointed out that free stands were provided for the artisans to display and promote their products, confirming the launch of a permanent initiative to allocate a special pavilion for martyrs’ families where free clothes are distributed to anyone holding an honor card.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Hama, Riad Zyoud, explained that the festival is an appropriate opportunity for companies to display their products in one place visited by a large number of people daily, as it is an opportunity for consumers to buy their needs directly from companies without any intermediary and at a reasonable price.
Participants indicated that their products have attracted a large turnout since the first day of the festival because their price is even lower than the wholesale price as the main goal of their participation in the festival is to promote their products and support the consumer without thinking about profit, which contributes to reducing the financial burden on citizens.
According to the visitors, the timing of the festival was appropriate and the way it was organized was good, expressing their hope that similar festivals would be held in the upcoming period.
It is worth noting that the festival will last for a week, or more.
