Khamenei warns the Zionist entity of harsh punishment due to assassinating Haniyeh

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ali Khamenei, confirmed that the Zionist entity brought upon itself the harshest punishment for committing the crime of assassinating the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran early today.

“The criminal and terrorist Zionist entity has prepared a harsh punishment for itself with this cowardly act by shedding the blood of the martyr Haniyeh,” The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Khamenei as saying in a statement on Wednesday.

Khamenei stressed that “we consider it our duty to avenge his blood in this bitter and difficult incident that occurred on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Khamenei expressed his condolences to the Islamic nation, the resistance front, the brave and proud people of Palestine, and the family of the martyr Haniyeh.
