Khaji: The responsibility of the international community is to combat terrorism effectively in Syria

Tehran (ST) – The Iranian foreign minister’s senior advisor for special political affairs, Ali Asghar Khaji, stressed that the responsibility of the international community is to combat terrorism seriously and effectively in Syria.

Khaji discussed via video with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Syria Geir Pedersen the latest developments in Syria, especially the terrorist attack on Aleppo and its surroundings, and the necessity of immediately stopping these attacks by terrorist organizations.

Khaji indicated that the recent terrorist attack in Syria is an extension of the Israeli attacks on the region, and comes within the framework of expansionist goals aimed at changing the balance in the region, stressing that the Syrian people and the resistance will not allow these malicious goals to be achieved.
