Khaddour: The decision to exempt students from certification fees is not limited and it includes all students
The Director of the Consular Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Hassan Khaddour affirmed that the decision to exempt Syrian students studying abroad from certification fees for all academic documents, whether issued inside Syria or abroad , includes students delegated by the state (on a scholarship)and those who are studying at their own expenses.
He indicated that the decision has entered into force at all Syria’s embassies since the day following its issuance, and it is an open decision with no specific time.
Dr. Khaddour explained in a statement to SANA that diplomatic missions abroad are working according to unified directives by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, with the aim of providing all facilities to citizens in their countries of residence.
Khadour said that documents will be issued very soon through our missions in an original form to save effort and time.
The director of the consular administration stated that the missions and consulates provide facilities to all the citizens abroad in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates through an automated mechanism.
He noted the importance of activating the electronic network between government institutions to complete transactions with the least time and effort.
Dr. Khaddour indicated that the ministry has recently started submitting electronically to the diplomatic mission the “departure and arrival movement” statement, personal status documents and a non-sentenced document to be issued on the same day .
With regard to the recently raised rumors about the missing military service fees for those abroad, Dr. Khaddour stressed that what is circulated on social media is absolutely incorrect, calling on Syrians abroad to ignore what is published and depend on official sources and national media to obtain information and facts, indicating that all that is Issued officially will be published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and the national media.
