Nur-Sultan (ST): Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the new government to formulate a draft work program for the current year following the recent events in the country.
The Kazakh media quoted Prime Minister Ali Khan Ismailov as saying during the first meeting of the new government today that President Tokayev stressed in his directives that “the measures planned in the program should be executable this year.”
Ismailov indicated that the instructions include a request from the Ministry of Defense to develop proposals for reforming the armed forces and intelligence, and said, “The Ministry of Defense and the relevant authorities should work on developing proposals for reforming the armed forces and security services and radically increasing the defense capacity of the army and submitting them to the Security Council apparatus for the next meeting.”
