Kazakh “Al-Farabi” Humanitarian Foundation : Assisting Syria aims to help the Syrians confront repercussions of the earthquake
The head of “Al-Farabi” Humanitarian Foundation in Kazakhstan Akmaral Batalova has affirmed that the assistance provided by the Foundation, in cooperation with a number of humanitarian organizations, to the Syrian people is an expression of support and solidarity with them to help them face the repercussions of the earthquake disaster.
Batalova explained in a statement to SANA that the second batch of aid was distributed a few days ago by a delegation headed by her, which includes the heads of a number of charitable organizations in Lattakia, Aleppo and Damascus.
She pointed out that the aid included clothes and 20 Kazakh tents that are considered mobile homes for permanent residence, in addition to electricity generators and medicines collected by civil society, voluntary organizations and charitable foundations.
Batalova indicated that the amount of this aid is about 100 tons, which was delivered to Moscow by trucks, and the Russian Ministry of Defense delivered it to Syria on its planes.
She pointed out that Kazakhstan, like many countries, contributed to the delivery of humanitarian aid to Syria,
Reaffirming that the assistance provided is an expression of the Kazakh people’s support for the friendly Syrian people in confronting the repercussions of the earthquake.
