Kashefi: President Raeisi’s recent visit to Syria has set up a new path for enhancing Syrian-Iranian economic ties

Head of the Iranian-Syrian Joint Chamber of Commerce Keyvan Kashefi has stressed that President Ebrahim Raesi’s recent visit to Syria has provided a new path for boosting cooperation between the two countries.

Interviewed by IRNA News Agency, Kashefi said that the agreements signed during the visit have an executive nature, pointing out that the needs for enhancing the Syrian-Iranian relations were studied with the aim of expanding economic exchange.

Kashefi explained that providing and facilitating transportation and organizing maritime transport movement is one of the issues that help develop trade, as this is an essential element that supports the contracts of the businessmen and economic activists and it can be a turning point in trade between the two countries.

He reiterated that by the implementation of the signed financial agreements, the situation of monetary and banking exchange will improve and the obstacles facing this sector will be eliminated.

He clarified that increasing the flights between the two countries will facilitate economic activities that serve the interest of the peoples of Syria and Iran.
