Kanana Aloush ” lioness of Syrian media”

Kenana Alloush, the correspondent of the Syrian “Sama” TV in Aleppo, is one of the ambitious Syrian women and a Syrian media icon who has been working courageously and professionally on the ground to cover the Syrian Arab army’s operations against terrorist groups in Aleppo, thus named by many Syrians as the lioness of the Syrian media.

Kenana graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities- French Language Department- at Tishreen University with excellent degree. But her passion was for journalism.

In 2003, she started her media career as a broadcaster in the General Authority for Radio and Television. She prepared and presented several successful programs for the Syrian TV including “Gardenia” and “Good Morning Aleppo”. Kenana is fluent in French, English and Italian languages.

Upon the outbreak of war in Syria , Kenana worked in Addounia TV and later in Sama TV.

During the years of war in Aleppo, Kenana worked as a war correspondent. She accompanied the Syrian Arab Army at battlefronts in the fight against terrorism, and for this reason her name was associated with Aleppo battlefronts.

Although Kenana was very affected by the humanitarian cases that she saw, such as the victims of bombings and missiles fired by terrorists, her strong passion to be a professional journalist gave her enough courage and optimism to encourage and raise the morale of her fellow citizens who suffered from the war.

After liberating Aleppo from terrorism, Kenana was keen on highlighting the return of normal life to the city and the start of reconstruction.

Kenana also accompanied the army’s heroes in their recent military operation to fight terrorism in Aleppo countryside and she managed to cover their victories which resulted in the liberation of Aleppo’s villages and towns from takfiri terrorism.

Although she was not borne in Aleppo, Kenana adores this city and its people, because of their steadfastness, strength, and determination to continue living in spite of all the devastation that had been inflicted upon the city.

Kenana always describes Aleppo as “the city that never dies or surrenders.

Kenana was born in al-Dreikeesh, Tartous. She lived her childhood and studied in Algeria before moving to Syria to stay.
