Kanaani: Western countries claiming freedom of expression continue to support Zionist entity’s crimes

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani confirmed that Western countries claiming freedom of expression and the press continue their silence and support for the crimes of the Zionist entity against the media.

“More than 140 Palestinian journalists have become victims of the Zionist entity’s unprecedented crime against the media and freedom of expression in just seven months under the absolute silence of Western countries that claim freedom of the press, and the indifference of international organizations and institutions,” Kanaani was quoted as saying by the Iranian News Agency IRNA.

“Those who demand freedom of opinion and expression have not only remained silent on the killing of so many journalists, but have continued to support their murderers with all their power.” Kanaani said.

On the suppression of the protesting American students, Kanaani considered that the actions of US administration officials in distorting reality to justify the use of violent repression in order to silence peaceful pro-Palestine student gatherings do not diminish the heinousness of their actions.
