Kanaani: United States is primarily responsible for the crimes of the Zionist entity in Gaza

Tehran, (ST) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani affirmed that Washington is primarily responsible for the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip.

In response to the accusations made by the US President’s National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, against Iran, Kanaani said in a statement on Wednesday: America expresses its concern about security in the region while fully supporting the war, crime, and genocide of the Palestinians at the hands of “Israel.” “This matter is a sign of the clear hypocrisy of the American government”, Kanaani added.

Kanaani reiterated that the fate of the Palestinian state will only be determined by its people and resistance.

Kanaani pointed out that security in the West Asia region is an integrated and much linked element, contrary to the claims of American government officials.

He stressed that the American military presence in the region was not a factor that provided security; on the contrary, Washington worked through its plans and illegal interventions to achieve the security interests of the Zionist entity at the expense of the security of the countries of the region and violating the rights of the Palestinian people.
