Kanaani: Bad  policies of America and European countries are the reason for the problems of illegal immigration

Tehran, (ST) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani affirmed on Tuesday that the wrong policies of America and European countries were the cause of the problems of illegal immigration and asylum requests from Asia and Africa to Western countries.

“The sinking of a boat carrying hundreds of refugee women and children from various Asian and African countries off the coast of Greece in the Mediterranean waters is a sad and painful tragedy,” the Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Kanaani as saying in a tweet. He stressed that the cause of this tragedy and others is the wrong policies adopted by the West over the past decades.

Dozens of refugees were killed a few days ago, and hundreds are feared missing in the sinking of a boat carrying them off the Greek coast.
