Kamalvandi: Production of 20 percent enriched uranium from modern equipment at the Fordow facility

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran announced that the production of enriched uranium from a series of centrifuges that was installed at the Fordow facility two weeks ago has reached 20 percent.

“We produced 20 percent enriched uranium from the series of centrifuges that we installed at the Fordow facility two weeks ago, and gas was pumped into it,” the organization’s spokesman said in a statement today.

Kamalvandi indicated that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was notified of this gas pumping operation, stressing that the agency’s report on these developments was media exaggeration.
