Jum’a captures gold in Dubai

DUBAI, (ST) – Bayan Jum’a, member of the national swimming team, has clinched the 4th Dubai International Swimming Championship 100 m free-style discipline title.

Jum”a came first with a time of 58 seconds and 07 parts of a second while Nirmeen Jirdi, Jum’a teammate, finished third in the same contest with a time of one minute,02 seconds and 20 parts of a second.

 

With Jum’a medal, the national team, who took part in the said event, lifted their tally to ten medals (2 gold, 2 silver and six bronzes).

It is to be noted that the Dubai championship is recognized by the international federation.
