Judge Muhammad Shahoud narrates how he contributed to saving real estate records, cadastral plans documents from terrorists in Homs

Homs (ST): Real estate judge Muhammad Jamil Shahoud, one of the heroes of real stories that took part in the “This is My Story” competition awards of the “Wathiqat Watan” (Homeland Document) Foundation in 2019, sums up his story for which he won that award by saying: “The homeland needs its honorable sons.”

Judge Shahoud, who participated on the second of this month in the dialogue meeting held by Wathiqat Watan Foundation in Homs and Hama about the 2023 award, said: “When I was the director of real estate interests in Homs, I contributed, alongside some other people, to saving the real estate records and the cadastral plans documents from the hands of terrorists during the period of the war on Syria.

Judge Shahoud indicated in a statement to SANA news reporter that he and his comrades were able to carry most of the records on their shoulders to the opposite safe side and to put them in his car under a hail of bullets fired by the terrorists, exposing his life to danger out of a noble patriotic motive.

Shahoud also risked himself and saved the records of the city of Al-Qusayr, west of Homs, from the hands of the terrorists, and managed with a group of people to transfer them from the Farmners Association to the post office one day before the terrorists entered the city.

Judge Shahoud recalled the incident of the martyrdom of his two sons, Uday and Bashar, in defense of the homeland, and who had helped him enter the city center in 2012 amid intensified clashes and enabled him with his heroic comrades to save the documents.

He expressed happiness for winning the “This is My Story” competition in 2019, expressing his pride that Wathiqat Watan Foundation published the book “This is My Story”, which includes his story that his grandchildren will read in the future and they will be proud that their grandfather was the one who contributed to protecting the honorable Syrian history,. He called on everyone who has a story to take the initiative to participate in the competition to create an honorable history.
