Journalists from 60 Media Outlets in Asia, Europe, Latin America Visit Liberated Towns in the Countryside of Hama and Idleb

HAMA,  (ST)- A delegation representing some 60 media outlets in Europe Asia and Latin America on Wednesday visited several towns in the southern countryside of Idleb and the northern countryside of Hama to see the situation on the ground in these towns after the Syrian army had liberated them from terrorism.

The reporters also checked the basic services rendered by the government to returnees.

SANA said that the reporters toured Khan Sheikhoun town and its vicinity where they documented the tunnels and caves dug by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists to use them as hideouts and as weapons cashes in the area extending between Khan Sheikhoun and al-Tamane’a town. They also documented the huge quantity of ammunition found in Wadi al-Asal, west of Kafer Zeita and al-Latamneh towns in the northern countryside of Hama.

In addition, the reporters visited one of the hideouts of the so-called “White Helmets” terrorists and documented its contents which included weapons, ammunitions and equipments that uncover this terrorist group’s claims about their “humanitarian” activities.

Eng. Mohammad Fadi Saadoun, the Acting Governor of Idleb, told the reporters that maintenance workshops are working hard to rehabilitate the infrastructure and the service utilities in Khan Sheikoun in order to help the displaced locals return to their town and resume their normal life after the  army has expelled the terrorists and  restored security to the town.

He made it clear that work is underway to ensure drinking water to the returnees because the terrorists had destroyed the main water resources in the city. Efforts are also being exerted to clean the streets which the army combed to dismantle the mines and explosive devices in preparation for the citizens’ return, he said.

He pointed out that many people who are still in Idleb want to leave the city through Abu al-Duhour corridor to safe areas under the army’s control, but the terrorists keep preventing them.
