Jordan’s King and Armenia’s PM state in phone call with President Al-Assad their readiness to help Syrian government’s efforts in relief operation
DAMASCUS, Feb.7, (ST)- Today, President Bashar Al-Assad received two phone calls from King Abdallah II of Jordan and from the Prime Minister of Armenia, Mr. Nikol Pashinyan in which they extended deepest condolence to Syria and to the families of the victims of the earthquake.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA ), King Abdallah II expressed Jordan’s solidary with Syria’s leadership and people over the devastating disaster that led to tragic loss of causalities and properties.
The King affirmed Jordan’s readiness to provide necessary assistance in rescue and relief operations for those affected by the earthquake.
President Assad, for his part, thanked the Jordanian Kingdom’s stance and its support for the Syrian people during this catastrophe.
The president also received a telephone call from Prime Minister of Armenia, Mr. Nikol Pashinyan who expressed his country’s sorrow over the devastating earthquake that hit Syria and the huge losses it has left.
Mr. Pashinyan conveyed to the President the condolences of the Armenian government and people and their solidarity with the Syrian people, showing readiness to offer help and support for the Syrian government’s efforts in the relief and rescue operations.
For his part, President Al-Assad thanked Mr. Pashinyan for the support of Armenia to the Syrian people that reflects the deep and strong relations which bind the Syrian and Armenian peoples.
