The Chairman of the Jordanian Parliament’s Economic and Investment Committee, Khaled Abu Hassan called on various industrial and commercial sectors, businessmen, and investors in the Kingdom to actively participate in the Jordanian-Syrian Economic Forum and Exhibition, scheduled to be held in Damascus on the 26th of next month.
He emphasized that the current phase requires everyone to be part of the efforts to rebuild Syria.
Abu Hassan said in a press statement: Supporting Syria’s economy and stability has a direct impact on the stability of the region as a whole.
The Syrian economy is also of strategic importance to Jordan, as it constitutes a lifeline linking Europe and the Middle East.
Abu Hassan urged opening up horizons for cooperation in the energy, industry, trade, education, health, and various union sectors, and investing in them to serve common interests.
He pointed out that Syria’s economic stability is not just a Syrian concern, but rather a Jordanian and Arab interest par excellence.
Abu Hassan called for Jordan to be strongly present in any effort aimed at reviving the Syrian economy and restoring its pivotal role in the region.
The exhibition will contain a variety of sectors including industry, agriculture, tourism, health, transportation, education, trade, information and communications technology, renewable energy, finance, insurance, free zones, development, logistics support and ports.
