Jordanian Foreign Ministry warns of theIsraeli occupation’s attempts to change the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque

On April 8th, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned of the disastrous consequences of the continued attempts of the Israeli occupation to change the historical and legal status quo in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Ministry also warned of the Israeli occupation’s  violations of the sanctity of the holy places and the right of Muslims to perform their religious rituals during the month of Ramadan.

“The occupation forces’ violation of the sanctity of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the assault on worshipers again in an attempt to empty it of worshipers in preparation for major incursions into it will increase the situation of tension and violence, for which everyone will pay the price,” the Jordanian Petra news agency quoted the ministry’s spokesman, Ambassador Sinan Majali, as saying in a statement.

Al-Majali called on the occupation authorities to stop their attacks on Al-Aqsa, lift the restrictions imposed on it and its staff, and respect the historical and legal status quo in the holy sites and the right of worshipers to worship.
