Jordanian Foreign Ministry: Israeli violations and crimes against the Palestinians must not go unpunished

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the continued systematic aggressive attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation entity against the Palestinians in the occupied territories, stressing that serious Israeli violations of international humanitarian law must not pass without an international response.
The Jordanian Petra News Agency quoted the ministry’s official spokesman, Sufyan Al-Qudah, as saying: “Israel continues its violations and attacks against the Palestinians,  its aggressive war on the Gaza Strip and its expansion of building and legitimizing settlements, which threatens further deterioration and expansion of the conflict.
He stressed that the continued Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories is the basis of evil, and its end is a requirement to achieve security and stability in the region.
“The Israeli practices, racist statements, and false allegations that ministers in the occupation government continue to make in an effort to impose new facts that perpetuate the occupation and incite against the Palestinians, are rejected and require Imposing international sanctions on those who made them” Al-Qudah added.
He also stressed that the evacuation and displacement of Palestinians are a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, stressing that “Israel”, as the occupying power, is obligated according to international law to protect the rights of Palestinians at their homes.
The ministry’s official spokesman stressed the need for the international community and the Security Council to act to provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people, stop Israeli violations, hold perpetrators accountable and ensure that they do not escape punishment, and work seriously to fulfill the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to realize their independent state with occupied Jerusalem as its capital.
