Jordanian Foreign Minister stresses the need to lift sanctions on Syria and support efforts to rebuild it

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi reiterated his country’s position, calling for the lifting of sanctions imposed on Syria.

The Jordanian news agency “Petra ” reported that during his meeting today with his Japanese counterpart Takeshi Lwaya in Tokyo, al-Safadi stressed the need to lift sanctions on Syria and support the efforts of the Syrian government in the reconstruction process on the foundations that guarantee Syria’s security, stability and sovereignty and preserve the rights of all the Syrian people.
