Jordanian Delegation to Visit Syria Next Week to Explore Economic and Investment Cooperation

A Jordanian business and service delegation will visit Syria next week for two days to explore opportunities for enhancing economic and investment relations between the two brotherly countries.

 

In a statement to SANA, the Chairman of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Alaa Omar Al-Ali, explained that the delegation, headed by Khalil Muhammad Al-Haj Tawfiq, President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, includes heads of chambers of commerce from Jordan and representatives from various commercial and service sectors.

 

They will hold a series of meetings with government entities, representatives from the federation of Syrian Chamber of Commerce, joint chambers of commerce and industry, and private sector businessmen.

 

Al-Ali noted that the visit comes as part of both sides’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations in various fields, particularly economic and investment relations, facilitating some obstacles facing import and export, and opening opportunities for benefiting from promising prospects in both the Syrian and Jordanian markets.

 

This will ultimately enhance trade exchanges and implement joint measures to stimulate them and increase investments between companies and institutions operating in both countries.

 

Al-Ali pointed out that this visit will provide the Jordanian delegation members with the opportunity to closely examine the available investment opportunities for Jordanian investors and businessmen directly.

 

In additiob to understand the market needs in both countries, and ultimately develop new horizons that achieve new breakthroughs for the national economy, enhancing prospects for bilateral cooperation in a manner that serves the mutual interests of Syria and Jordan.
