AMMAN, (ST)-The Gathering of Jordanian Intellectuals and Journalists for Supporting Syria and Resistance “ISNAD” has stressed that the Jordan should start to coordinate with the Syrian state in all border issues as to protect the Jordanian borders against penetration.
In a statement issued on Thursday, participants in gathering urged the Jordanian government to fight the takfiris and the extremist thinking which deals with terrorists as “martyrs” thereby creating a suitable environment for destructive mindset.
They reiterated that Jordan’s higher interest necessitates that its borders should be protected and that the terrorist gangs shouldn’t be allowed to enter Syria from the Jordanian gate.
The forum condemned the terrorist bombing which targeted the Jordanian armed forces in al-Rukban area on Tuesday.
Six Jordanian army personnel were killed and 14 others were injured in a car bomb attack that targeted a military post near Rukban camp on the Syrian-Jordanian borders, according to an official source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces.
